SMURFIT KAPPA Paper Effluent Industry

The effluent plant of the paper mill has a pre-treatment implemented on a unit of flotation by dissolved air, followed by conditioning of pH and homogenization of flow and composition of the liquid before entering the biological treatment. This has been developed in a high-load anaerobic reactor (IC) followed by an activated sludge polishing that was run on the structures of an old water treatment plant. The excess mud produced in the system is sent to the production plant to be integrated as a raw material for further production.
